Omnidirectional adhesive GSM antenna
Omnidirectional adhesive antenna operates in bands 800/900/1700/1800 MHz. Used in vehicles to connect to cellular modems and routers or signal repeaters. The antenna is supplied with a 40 cm long RG174/U cable, which is terminated with an MCX(m)90° connector. Comes with 3M double-sided tape for easy mounting on glass or plastic.
Connector specifications MMC: These are coaxial connectors with a latch mechanism. They are compatible with SMB connectors but are 30% smaller than SMB connectors. The dimensions of the internal contact and the insulator are the same. The impedance of the connector is either 50 Ohm with an operating frequency range up to 6 GHz or 70 Ohm with an operating range up to 3 GHz. They are characterized by high reliability and mechanical stability. They are also used as standard connectors in GPS devices, WLAN networks, fixed and mobile communications. Cable specifications RG174/U: The cable labeled RG174/U is a much cheaper variant of a coaxial cable that is compatible with connectors applicable to a cable diameter of 2.8 mm. It is mainly used for the frequency range 0 - 1 GHz, it can also be used for higher frequencies, but at the cost of higher attenuation – see the attached attenuation table below. The characteristic impedance of the cable is 50 Ω. The reduction factor is fixed at 0.66. The operating temperature range is -20 to 80 °C. Technical parameters can be found in the attached datasheet.
It is most often used for creating cable adaptors with connectors such as BNC/FAKRA/FME/MCX/MMCX/N/SMA/SMB/ SMP/TNC and others. It is ideal for short and bending stressed connections in measuring and telecommunications technology, for GPS/GSM/WLAN antennas, antenna leads etc.
