Omnidirectional GPS Mounting antenna
Omnidirectional antenna for GPS technology. The antenna operates in band 1545.72 MHz. The antenna reaches up to 30 dBi gain when combined with an amplifier. The antenna is suitable for cars and the others vehicles. An RG174 / U cable with a length of 5 m is attached to the antenna, which is terminated with FME(m) connector.
Connector specifications FME:
FME coaxial connectors are characterized by high reliability and mechanical stability. The characteristic impedance of the connector is 50 Ohm and the operating frequency ranges up to 2 GHz. Temperature range is -65 °C to +155 °C. Thanks to their compact size and long longevity, the FME connectors are used in the field of mobile communications as well as for GSM antennas. They are suitable for installation in vehicles as well.
Cable specifications RG174:
The cable labeled RG174 / U is a basic variant of a coaxial cable that is compatible with connectors applicable to a cable diameter of 2.8 mm. The characteristic impedance of the cable is 50 Ω. The reduction factor is fixed at 0.66. The most common cables of this type have a temperature range of -20 to 80 °C.
It is most often used for creating cable adaptors with connectors such as BNC / FAKRA / FME / MCX / MMCX / N / SMA / SMB / SMP / TNC and others. It is ideal for short and bending stressed connections in measuring and telecommunications technology, for GPS / GSM / WLAN antennas, antenna leads etc. There are also specially modified types of RG174/U cables for outdoor use, which are UV resistant, as well as for use in extreme conditions.
